So Elrohir did write the song! It certainly came in handy here and will hopefully give Hethlin a bit of a reprieve from the other esquires, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for that. They are young men after all and their space is being invaded by a woman. :)

I really enjoyed this, I like any story with Hethlin, but I also like your Amrothros. Thanks for sharing your story with us!

Great story; I love how Amrothos handled Súrion & co.

I think Amrothos could quickly become one of my favourite characters in your universe, after reading this and Self-Defense. One of the plotlines I've been awaiting eagerly is how Heth deals with being in Dol Amroth for those first couple of months, particularly as we get strong hints in Dol Amroth Yule that she doesn't have an easy time of it. I'd never thought about the other esquires using songs, but it was certainly effective.
I always find it interesting that Imrahil and his children can be very unassuming characters, right up until they decide to put their royal feet down, and I always enjoy reading about them doing so. Particularly here, when Amrothos does it so cleverly. I also liked the possibility of a closer friendship between Heth and Amrothos, and Lothiriel, and the way it would improve her situation just by giving her time with people who like her.
I found myself wondering if the song about Heth on the Pelennor was the creation Elrohir threatened her with earlier on.
Thank you, as always.

Poor Heth, I think I'd have walloped a few of them by now. I wonder if any of the esquires actually new/ believed she could fight when she first arrived. Maybe Esteven should tell his tale of the kid at Henneth Annun who saved the captain general and half a dozen Swan knights by finding her way home when she'd been blindfold leaving. I think Amsra should get her to give the swan knights lessons in skulking! Amrothos is great though, and with his help maybe she won't get in so much trouble. They could have knife throwing contests together.
