Apokatastasis Panton |
Day 5: Card: The Emperor |
He is – the first glass-maker, the first to love the density of things in his own image. He is – the snake who eats his tail, the self-consuming Flame. He is – the Sieve-lader, who would carry the ocean; the bat scryer, and the deaf singer. He is – the geometer who measures the heavens with a square circle, and One is his number. He is – the thrice judged, thrice damned, the Dweller in the Night. And yet... he is – and can become. For he was First, and will be Last to walk upon the earth and know himself: Beloved. |
Notes: 1. Apokatastasis panton: the doctrine that all that is, is capable of redemption. |
