What fun! I can just see the three earnest Hobbit faunts decorating their cakes, getting muddier by the minute, and a younger, not-yet-as-crusty Hamfast Gamgee trying to follow Bilbo and Drogo's lead in "judging." Little DO tend to apply recent events, especially ones that were as much fun as a fair, to their play, but not many adults are willing to join in.
I also liked the recipe--I plan to make it for The Birthday, Ring Day next year. Thank you!
