A darkly fascinating story, especially Sauron's ascension from supposed captive to honored guest and then "Steward" and corrupter.
One small quibble - one or two Numenoreans are described as having brown hair and eyes, and one is written as having blue eyes - weren't all Numenoreans dark haired and grey-eyed?

A long Númenor fic at last! Interesting, very interesting.
I see you chose to stick to canon, in word and spirit, valiantly and to its last consequences. And, wonder of wonders, you managed to come up with a coherent story! (Yes, I am quite critic with Tolkien´s Númenorean lore)
Very strong scenes in the second half, as the story took momentum (for example, the attack to the temple of Melkor, or Sauron´s downfall in the final chapter.) As a reader, I feel quite appreciative of the effort it takes to plan a long and ambitious story and stick to it until the end, especially since this fandom was taken by the short story craze.
One thing that felt a bit jarring to me was the use of the word "heretic". Heretic means someone who deviates from the right doctrine, but it does not apply to those who follow a different religion. For a Christian, someone who thinks that Christ was "adopted" by God instead of "born" God (just to mention one random heresy)is a heretic, but not a Muslim or a Buddhist, for example.
Here, hoping to read more of you in a near future. :)
