Now, this brings the old topic of losing one´s roots to a whole new level of poignancy. I loved how you portrayed the conflict of a man who fights against his own people and civilisation, and this becomes even sadder when we know that he was driven away from those by force.
I also liked the show of understanding for an alien system of values, which is so rare in Tolkien´s own work. The poem was a wonderful addition.

I love your Haradrim, of course, and your Haradric poems and sayings. This was an awesome birthday present, and I enjoyed watching it take form. You absolutley nailed Imrahil's relationship with Andrahar-it was perfect. Neither of them are always the easiest people to be friends with, I think, though interestingly enough most of Imrahil's issues came at the beginning of their relationship while Andrahar's came later, after Boromir's death for the most part. You've really given Andrahar's Haradric background roots, and I thank you for that.

It is a solemn moment, and one that must disturb both of them mightily. I am glad that Andrahar appears to have found a measure of peace within himself.
