Poor Aragorn, unrequited love at that age is quite painful. But I have the feeling that Arwen protests too much. She seems not as indifferent as she pretends to be.
I loved the scene with Gilraen and her parents. Grumbling Dirhael and wise Ivorwen. You managed to paint a vivid green picture of Rivendell. Quite a contrast to the world of men.

I have finally time to read this story again, and I was quite surprised that it is in parts completely changed. Will this now be the final version? I think this is the 3rd time that I started reading it. I can see how the story matures.
You took out the first meeting with the rangers, which was a favorite of mine, although I think the meeting you describe now is more realistic. The rangers were a bit clumsy in the last version.
Somehow this version seems to me brighter in mood, although I can't quite put my finger on it why. I love the little things you changed, a word here or there, and voila the story is richer, more colorful.
Please update soon.

Somehow the threat to Aragorn's position in this version seems stronger than before. I think bringing Dirhael into the conversation and have the reader wait for the move of the opposition until the actual council, and not just having Hallor tell Aragorn what will happen is the cause. This version is as a whole a lot longer but I like it better
One tiny nitpick in the last chapter. During the council you first mention the voting stones as white and gray and then at the end as gray and black.
I look forward to the next update.

This has to be the best poem I have read yet out of the Tolkien fandom. Awesome!

Recently discovered tolkienfan fiction and I love this story. The passing of the grey company is one of my favorite chapters. It was great to have more backstory in Arnor. I would love to see this story continued.
