I am hard-pressed to add anything original to the existing reviews for this story. I can only exclaim a heartfelt "ditto" to everyone's observations, and particularly to Imhiriel's. I experienced almost exactly the same reactions as she did, in the same places.
Most of all, I want to thank you for writing so much of this from Denethor's PoV. He is a very harsh individual in your universe, on the edge of what my personal acceptance can tolerate. His abuse of Finduilas is especially a bit hard for me to wrap my mind around – not necessarily that it happened, but exactly why their relationship fell into that. Here, you offer some piercing insights into his character that have helped me come more to terms with that aspect of his personality.
Sometime, you know, I would love to see your vision of Tirathiel's perspective on this, or on Denethor in general, given their courting past in the Unabeauverse. And if you could toss in her thoughts about Hethlin - one strong woman viewing another strong woman, each manifesting her strength in a different way – I would collapse with joy! :)

Ah, such a wonderful conquest for her to have made, and for such reason. He needed to let go, she to help him find a bit of joy still echoing in his heart. And love the vision of Arwen here! Excellent!
