Oh, wow - cool! What a motley set of possibilities, here - from the joyful first one (I love the asides, and that this is how Boromir's anxieties leak out and into the story), to the grim and ironic repetition of history in the final one. The corps-choosing for Faramir has more distant consequences, but imagining what would happen without him in Ithilien brings up so many opportunities for disaster, it isn't funny.
The drabble of Boromir's triumphant return is hard to read only because it is set right before the final drabble, and it isn't entirely clear whether they go together or should be seen as separate AU possibilities. If they are separate, then I'm sensing Ring-lord Boromir come home - and indeed, Denethor's son never does come home in that scenario. Otherwise, it seems that Boromir has thrown in with Aragorn, which would have the painfully ironic consequence of implicating him in his father's death.
Lovely set of drabbles, Starlight! Well chosen moments - thank you very much!
