This is wonderful, Raksha! I love the interaction between counsellor and king, the friendship and respect ever growing between them. Faramir is wise in his advice (if a bit biased, as is the king *g*). If those in the North fear that Aragorn would forget his northern heritage, those in the South surely worry that he will overly favor his birthland and send all the southern wealth far away. Really well-played-out scenario!
My favorite line is: "Aragorn smiled then, his aspect warming me as the sun warms the forest at dawn." I could feel it myself. :)
