Wow! I don't remember flinging this plotbunny at all; but I'm certainly thrilled that it was so successfully adopted and nurtured into a great story. Very Eomer-y; and I liked Imrahil's POV too.

As ever, your depiction of Éomer is wonderful, true and vivid. This, I think, thoroughly identifies him in the story: "Pale eyes searched the prince's closely, their intensity a reminder why Éomer of Rohan was reckoned a captain among men. Yet at the same time, that look held something astonishingly open, something that was being offered with the entirety of a great and noble heart."
Éomer's mood comes through so clear in this story, his elation is truly contagious. At every re-read, I feel this giddy, burbling feeling inside myself ;). Very uplifting!
Wonderful description of the setting, especially of the sea in all her glory. And the characters' relation towards each other and towards Lothíriel, love and respect and affection is depicted very real, clear and believable in just a few well-chosen, succint words and images.
The last half of the story reminded me of the scene in RotK where Éomer flings not his voice, body and heart, but his sword up in joy when he recognizes Aragorn's standard on the ships sailing up to the Harlond.
