To the tune of Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffett. Written from Frodo’s POV.
As Galadhrim tend us
While we’re filled with sorrow and weary with toil.
Listenin’ to Elves sing
Some small comfort they bring
As memories of Gandalf within our hearts boil.
Spending some healing days in Caras Galadhon
For a short while our journey we halt
And though Pippin claims he was the Hobbit to blame
We all know it’s nobody’s fault.
At Galadriel’s mirror
What else could be clearer
The options are given, I know what to do.
But mine is a hard choice
The whispering of One voice
And how I’ll go on then, I haven’t a clue.
Spending some healing days in Caras Galadhon
For a short while our journey we halt
And though we all claim that there is no one to blame
Now I think…it could be my fault.
Though Her gifts, they cheer us
Departure still nears us
We take to the river to speed us along.
Yet with Elf cloaks on our backs
And food in our rucksacks
We manage to gather the strength to go on.
Spending some healing days in Caras Galadhon
For a short while our journey we halt
And though we might claim that there is no one to blame
Now I know…it’s wholly my fault.
