Not surprisingly, she found him among the trees, looking like a tall silver sapling in the moonlight. She approached hesitantly, but his face when he turned to her was calm-and even a little amused.
“I apologize, Celeborn. Truly it is said that one has no choice in one’s relatives! We will not stay long. Can you put up with them while we are here?”
With the warm chuckle she loved, he invited her into the circle of his arms. “Of course I can,” came his deep, quiet voice. “Though they are woefully in error.”
“What do you mean?”
“I have seen the light of their Trees. I see it every day.” He lifted a lock of her hair to his lips and kissed it. “In the sun on your hair and in the light of your eyes.”
Galadriel moved closer, tucking her head beneath his chin. His strong arms tightened around her.
